Rockin out at Joshua Tree

Where the streets have no name...

Well actually, all the streets I saw had names. Go figure.
Joshua Tree National Park has awesome moon-like panoramas,
funky shaped trees, strange rock formations, and vistas that go on for miles.

This is a Joshua Tree up on Ryan Mountain. It's surrounded by tufts of Yucca.

Less than half a mile away from the White Tank campground there was
a natural bridge rock formation. This is a pic with my sis and my cousin.

My sis and cousin are "rockin out"!!

They got some super scary trees out there!!

We were taking a breather hiking up Ryan Mountain and enjoying the view.

Death Valley is bad ass

Next stop ... Death Valley...
It's like a huge geological playground. There's salt flats, sand dunes,
rocks that move on their own, colorful mineral deposits, and canyons.

We woke up before the crack of dawn to catch the sun rise at Zabriski Point.

Hiked around on sand dunes.

We checked out the lowest elevation in all of North America at sunset.
It looks like snow, but it's all salt!

Then there's these crazy salt deposits at the Devil's Golfcourse.

The first 0.5 miles of Mosaic Canyon are spectacular.
The rocks are smooth and you can see layer upon layer of geological history.

We ended our trip at Artists Palette. Blues, pinks, and whites color the rocks.
There's also cool birds that hang out and watch the tourists ;)
